Bridges to Africa: FIM’s new vision

An edition focused on regional integration

The Madagascar International Fair (FIM) opened its doors on May 22 at the Ivato International Conference Center.

For its 26th edition, it focuses on the ties between Madagascar and Africa, with a strong theme: “With Africa, we want to build more sustainable bridges.”

Organized for the first time by Madavision, FIM 2025 brings together more than 420 exhibitors from the Big Island and beyond. Over a 22,000 m² space, companies, institutions, and project leaders meet to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and advance the economy.

“This fair is a place for exchanges, opportunities, and joint projects,” said Koloina Ranaivo Rajaonarisoa, Deputy General Manager of Madavision.

Transport Minister Valery Ramonjavelo noted that the country has much to offer: motivated young people, available agricultural land, and a strong capacity for innovation. According to him, the FIM demonstrates that the country wants to become a major player in Africa.

Madagascar is a member of the African Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), SADC, and COMESA. This gives it access to a market of over 900 million people. The government aims to take advantage of these opportunities to develop the national economy.
