Official Visit of the Slovenian President to Madagascar

A new chapter of cooperation

President of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, will make an official visit to Madagascar on June 3 and 4, 2025. During this visit, the Head of State will meet with Malagasy President Andry Rajoelina. Discussions will focus primarily on strengthening cooperation in several key sectors such as the economy, energy, education, and culture.

An agreement will be signed to establish regular meetings between the two countries to consolidate this collaboration. Prior to this visit, a gesture of solidarity will have already been made with the shipment of two containers containing humanitarian supplies. These donations will include school supplies, medical equipment, and clothing for children and families in difficult circumstances. These contributions come from individuals and committed organizations.

The inauguration of a new primary school in the Bemasoandro neighborhood of Antananarivo will also be part of the program. This school is part of the “Slovenia for Madagascar” project. June 4th will be marked by a visit to the village of Akamasoa, founded by Father Pedro Opeka, renowned for his work in promoting education and the social reintegration of vulnerable populations.
