Emirati digital program: Ten beneficiary schools in the Seychelles

The UAE Boosts Learning in Seychelles

Progress in the digital and educational sectors was highlighted during the celebration of the 54th anniversary of Eid Al Etihad in Seychelles on November 27.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Barry Faure, emphasized the selection of ten primary schools for the first phase of the UAE-supported digital learning program. “This project advances the modernization of the Seychellois education system and strengthens young people’s technological skills,” he stated. The Minister commended the UAE’s continued support and encouraged the development of new partnerships in training, innovation, and sustainable technologies.

He also stressed the importance of solidarity among nations to foster mutual growth and build a future based on cooperation and trust.

For his part, the Chargé d’affaires of the United Arab Emirates Embassy, Ahmed Saeed Alneyadi, recalled the historical significance of the union of December 2, 1971, a symbol of unity and resilience. He emphasized the UAE’s commitments to combating climate change and promoting renewable energy. He mentioned the “Water for Agriculture Challenge,” launched in 2025, which encourages the use of innovative technologies to conserve water in agriculture.

According to him, these advancements reflect the vision of Emirati leaders focused on human development and sustainable innovation. Furthermore, Alneyadi congratulated President Patrick Herminie on his election and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its cooperation with Seychelles.
