Aminata Kane: Visa’s new voice for financial inclusion in Africa

Aminata Kane has been appointed Senior Vice President and Regional Director for West and Central Africa at Visa, strengthening the digital payments giant’s presence on the continent. She will lead a team spanning 23 countries from key offices in Abidjan, Accra, Kinshasa, and Lagos.

With extensive experience in digital financial services and telecommunications, Kane previously held senior positions at Orange, including as Regional General Manager of Orange Money Group. She oversaw the operations of Orange Money and Orange Bank Africa in 17 countries.

Her commitment to digital inclusion was demonstrated through the creation of the Orange Foundation and a digital center in Sierra Leone, dedicated to supporting youth and women. Holding degrees from HEC Paris and the MIT Sloan School of Management, Aminata Kane began her career at Goldman Sachs before joining McKinsey & Company. This expert has also been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
