Nathan Wodié Kacou Diagou has been named UNICEF’s first NextGen Champion in Côte d’Ivoire and across the African continent. At 23, this committed young entrepreneur has distinguished himself through his work in the hospitality, culture, sports, and music sectors.
Heading several companies in Côte d’Ivoire and France, Nathan also conducts social and humanitarian initiatives through his NWKD Foundation and the NSIA and BJKD family foundations. His career has enabled him to effectively mobilize young people around the protection of children’s rights.
UNICEF’s NextGen initiative brings together young philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and activists to promote children’s rights around the world. As Champion, Nathan’s mission will be to raise awareness and involve Ivorian and African youth in these initiatives.
Jean-François Basse, UNICEF Representative in Côte d’Ivoire, welcomed this choice: “Nathan embodies an African youth ready to promote the rights of every child and to drive lasting change,” he said.
