110,000 school kits delivered to disaster-stricken students

A Solidarity Operation for Schooling

110,000 school supply kits were delivered to Mayotte thanks to a joint effort by the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of the Armed Forces.

This operation aims to help students experiencing difficulties so that they can continue their education in good conditions, according to the official press release.

The French Armed Forces Commissariat, which supports the French Armed Forces, organized the purchase and transportation of these supplies. A total of 44 tons of materials were sent: notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, glue, and folders. These kits complement those already distributed last January, thanks to support from the government, businesses, and associations.

All schools in Mayotte will receive these supplies, which will be distributed gradually according to each school’s needs. The goal is for every student to have the necessary materials to follow classes normally.

By working together, the two ministries ensure the continuity of public service, even in difficult situations. This solidarity is essential so that children can learn and grow in good conditions, despite the challenges, the statement added.
