A New Stage of Growth
Airtel Madagascar has announced the launch of its new 035 telephone prefix, a significant step in the development of its network.
With this new prefix, the company is not only changing its numbering plan, but also aiming to strengthen access to communication services throughout the country. The first 035 numbers have been available since June 22, 2026, at Airtel distribution points.
Customers already using 033 numbers are not affected by this change. They can continue to use their lines as usual, without any action required. Services remain the same, whether for calls, internet access, or Airtel Money.
“The new 035 numbers also provide access to all of the operator’s services, including money transfers, payments, and mobile financial transactions,” explains Anne Catherine Tchokonté, the company’s CEO.
