Strengthening Customs’ Resources in the Fight Against Fraud

Cooperation between Madagascar and China reaches a new stage in the field of customs control.

The Malagasy Customs scientific laboratory is now benefiting from significant material and technical support from China, through the provision of modern equipment designed to improve its analytical and expert capabilities.

This donation aims to strengthen customs’ resources in the fight against fraud, illicit trafficking, and non-compliant imports. Thanks to this new equipment, Malagasy technicians will be able to perform faster and more precise analyses on various products subject to customs control. The laboratory will be able to better identify certain suspicious goods, verify the quality of imported products, and contribute more effectively to the protection of the national economy.

This Chinese support is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
