FIM contributes to sub-regional economic networking

On May 26, 2024, at the Forello Expo Tanjombato Exhibition Park, the 18th edition of the Madagascar International Fair (FIM) concluded on a positive and optimistic note. Once again, FIM established itself as the premier regional economic platform.

FIM has reinforced its role as a vital platform for promoting « Made in Madagascar » while remaining open to international exchanges. Participating companies expressed satisfaction after four busy days, noting that the fair provided ample opportunities to promote their products and services in the context of local economic recovery.

The event featured conferences, round tables, and various activities during the opening evening. The economic media Capmad engaged with numerous economic actors about their communication strategies. Eco-responsibility was a priority for FIM, encouraging exhibitors and financial operators to adopt environmentally friendly practices.

Athéna Tselany, the communication manager of the organizing agency Forello Expo, highlighted the « constant improvement in the quality of the offerings by the exhibitors ». Laélia Monloup, Director of Forello Expo, emphasized FIM’s importance in Madagascar’s economic progress, stating that this edition reflects Madagascar’s vitality and ambition on the global stage, showcasing the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of the participants.

This edition was marked by the presence of Mauritius as the guest of honor, with 18 companies representing various economic sectors. The participation of Mauritius strengthened economic relations and regional partnerships, demonstrating Madagascar’s openness towards its Indian Ocean neighbors.
