Ce projet vise \u00e0 relier les ressources gazi\u00e8res nig\u00e9rianes aux march\u00e9s d\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest, avec une extension potentielle vers l\u2019Europe.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2>Enjeux r\u00e9gionaux et diff\u00e9rends financiers<\/h2>\n<p>L\u2019infrastructure, d\u2019un co\u00fbt estim\u00e9 \u00e0 25 milliards USD, traverserait treize pays africains, structurant ainsi un corridor \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique majeur sur la fa\u00e7ade atlantique du continent.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019appel du Nig\u00e9ria intervient dans un contexte marqu\u00e9 par un diff\u00e9rend financier persistant avec le Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Accra doit environ 75 millions USD au Nig\u00e9ria pour des livraisons de gaz effectu\u00e9es via le gazoduc ouest-africain (WAGP), qui relie depuis 2010 le Nig\u00e9ria au B\u00e9nin, au Togo et au Ghana sur 678 kilom\u00e8tres. Le Ministre nig\u00e9rian des ressources p\u00e9troli\u00e8res, Ekpo Ekperipe, a insist\u00e9 lors d\u2019une r\u00e9union \u00e0 Accra sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour le Ghana d\u2019honorer ses engagements afin de pr\u00e9server la stabilit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique r\u00e9gionale.<\/p>\n<p>En f\u00e9vrier dernier, le Ghana avait annonc\u00e9 vouloir r\u00e9gler partiellement cette dette \u00e0 hauteur de 37,5 millions USD, mais le paiement n\u2019a pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 confirm\u00e9 par le fournisseur nig\u00e9rian N-Gas Limited.<\/p>\n<h2>Dimension strat\u00e9gique et coop\u00e9ration r\u00e9gionale<\/h2>\n<p>Au-del\u00e0 du contentieux bilat\u00e9ral, le Nig\u00e9ria cherche \u00e0 rallier l\u2019ensemble des \u00c9tats de la r\u00e9gion \u00e0 ce projet strat\u00e9gique. Le gazoduc Nigeria-Maroc est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 comme compl\u00e9mentaire du WAGP et vise \u00e0 renforcer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et l\u2019int\u00e9gration \u00e9conomique r\u00e9gionale. Plusieurs chefs d\u2019\u00c9tat africains ont r\u00e9cemment exprim\u00e9 leur soutien \u00e0 cette initiative lors de consultations r\u00e9gionales.<\/p>\n<p>Le Nig\u00e9ria r\u00e9affirme sa volont\u00e9 de continuer \u00e0 fournir du gaz dans le cadre des accords existants, tout en appelant ses partenaires \u00e0 lever les obstacles financiers pour s\u00e9curiser l\u2019avenir \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de l\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest.
