La r\u00e9ussite de cette premi\u00e8re sortie priv\u00e9e ouvre la voie \u00e0 d\u2019autres missions commerciales.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2>Nouvelle \u00e9tape dans la conqu\u00eate spatiale<\/h2>\n<p>Il y a 50 ans, la mission Apollo marque l&rsquo;apog\u00e9e de l&rsquo;exploration spatiale publique, mais la r\u00e9ussite de Polaris Dawn prouve la capacit\u00e9 du secteur priv\u00e9 \u00e0 repousser les limites de l\u2019exploration spatiale humaine. La premi\u00e8re sortie spatiale priv\u00e9e bat aussi des records en termes d&rsquo;altitude. Le vaisseau Dragon s&rsquo;est aventur\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 1 400 km d&rsquo;altitude, une distance in\u00e9gal\u00e9e depuis les missions lunaires Apollo. L\u2019administrateur de la NASA Bill Nelson a d&rsquo;ailleurs salu\u00e9 cette avanc\u00e9e, qualifiant cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement de \u00ab <i>pas de g\u00e9ant pour l&rsquo;industrie spatiale commerciale<\/i> \u00bb.<\/p>\n<h3>Exploit en retransmission directe<\/h3>\n<p>Le milliardaire Jared Isaacman, commandant de la mission, \u00e9merge le premier pour offrir au monde des images spectaculaires de la Terre depuis une altitude de 700 km, bien au-del\u00e0 de la Station spatiale internationale (ISS). L\u2019ing\u00e9nieure Sarah Gillis l\u2019a ensuite rejointe pour \u00e9valuer les combinaisons spatiales nouvellement cr\u00e9\u00e9es par SpaceX.<\/p>\n<p>Leur sortie se d\u00e9roule pendant environ dix minutes avant de revenir \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur du vaisseau. L\u2019op\u00e9ration dure 1 h 45 minutes, sans complications techniques. Contrairement aux sorties spatiales traditionnelles, la capsule Dragon ne dispose pas de sas, exposant ainsi tous les membres d\u2019\u00e9quipage au vide spatial lors de l&rsquo;ouverture de l\u2019\u00e9coutille. La capsule Dragon comptait \u00e9galement deux autres passagers, le pilote Scott Poteet et le personnel SpaceX Anna Menon.<\/p>\n<h2>Combinaisons \u00e0 la pointe de l\u2019innovation<\/h2>\n<p>Les combinaisons spatiales utilis\u00e9es lors de cette mission repr\u00e9sentent une avanc\u00e9e technologique majeure de SpaceX. Inspir\u00e9es des mod\u00e8les d\u00e9j\u00e0 utilis\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur des vaisseaux, ces d\u00e9riv\u00e9s sont con\u00e7us pour r\u00e9sister \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures extr\u00eames et offrir une meilleure mobilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Chaque tenue spatiale est \u00e9quip\u00e9e de cam\u00e9ras et d\u2019un syst\u00e8me d\u2019affichage int\u00e9gr\u00e9 dans le casque, fournissant des informations en temps r\u00e9el sur la pression, la temp\u00e9rature et l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 astronautique d\u2019Elon Musk pr\u00e9voit de produire ces combinaisons \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle. D\u2019apr\u00e8s Jared Isaacman, un jour, ces versions pourraient \u00eatre port\u00e9es sur Mars.<\/p>\n<h3>Technologies pour l\u2019avenir de l\u2019exploration spatiale<\/h3>\n<p>Polaris Dawn offre \u00e9galement une opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019exp\u00e9rimenter des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capmad.com\/fr\/technologie-fr\/croissance-du-secteur-des-telecommunications\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: #eb612e\" rel=\"noopener\">technologies de communication in\u00e9dites<\/a>. En collaboration avec la constellation de satellites Starlink, une communication laser entre le vaisseau et les satellites sera \u00e9valu\u00e9e. Cette technologie pourrait r\u00e9volutionner les communications spatiales et fournir une connexion internet stable depuis l\u2019espace.<\/p>\n<p>Les astronautes r\u00e9aliseront aussi 36 exp\u00e9riences scientifiques, notamment en physiologie. Une des exp\u00e9riences les plus intrigantes consiste \u00e0 utiliser des lentilles de contact sp\u00e9ciales pour mesurer la pression intraoculaire. Un indispensable pour la sant\u00e9 des astronautes lors de missions prolong\u00e9es dans l\u2019espace.<\/p>\n<h2>Programme Polaris : S\u00e9rie de 3 missions<\/h2>\n<p>Polaris Dawn est la premi\u00e8re mission du programme Polaris, une s\u00e9rie de trois missions financ\u00e9es par Jared Isaacman. L&rsquo;objectif principal est d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la conqu\u00eate spatiale en utilisant des financements priv\u00e9s. Le milliardaire am\u00e9ricain est convaincu que l\u2019implication du secteur priv\u00e9 est essentielle pour acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les innovations dans le domaine spatial.<\/p>\n<p>La deuxi\u00e8me mission Polaris sera similaire \u00e0 Polaris Dawn, avec un vol \u00e0 haute altitude et des tests technologiques avanc\u00e9s. La troisi\u00e8me mission, en revanche, promet d\u2019\u00eatre historique. \u00c0 savoir le premier vol habit\u00e9 de Starship, la m\u00e9ga-fus\u00e9e d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par SpaceX.
