{"id":104550,"date":"2026-02-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.capmad.com\/transition-energetique-au-burkina-le-pays-mise-sur-lhydrogene-vert\/"},"modified":"2026-02-11T23:00:46","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T20:00:46","slug":"transition-energetique-au-burkina-le-pays-mise-sur-lhydrogene-vert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.capmad.com\/fr\/energie-fr\/transition-energetique-au-burkina-le-pays-mise-sur-lhydrogene-vert\/","title":{"rendered":"Transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique au Burkina : Le pays mise sur l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Le Burkina Faso commence \u00e0 faire de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert un futur pilier de sa strat\u00e9gie \u00ab agriculture\u2013eau\u2013\u00e9nergie \u00bb, avec l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019utiliser cette nouvelle fili\u00e8re pour produire des engrais, de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et des carburants propres au service de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire et de la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n<h2>L\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert pour diversifier le mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique<\/h2>\n<p>Lors d\u2019un atelier tenu d\u00e9but f\u00e9vrier 2026, le minist\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00c9nergie a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert comme une technologie \u00e9mergente \u00e0 fort potentiel pour diversifier le mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique du pays et r\u00e9duire la d\u00e9pendance aux importations de combustibles fossiles.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert est obtenu par \u00e9lectrolyse de l\u2019eau, en s\u00e9parant l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne de l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 issue de sources renouvelables (solaire, biomasse, d\u00e9chets), ce qui en fait une \u00e9nergie sans \u00e9missions directes de CO\u2082.<\/p>\n<p>Le Burkina Faso dispose de trois atouts cl\u00e9s pour cette fili\u00e8re : un ensoleillement exceptionnel, un potentiel en biomasse (r\u00e9sidus agricoles, biodigesteurs) et des besoins croissants en \u00e9nergie pour l\u2019irrigation, la transformation agroalimentaire et l\u2019industrie.<\/p>\n<h2>Agriculture, eau, \u00e9nergie : un m\u00eame d\u00e9fi<\/h2>\n<p>Pour les autorit\u00e9s et les chercheurs, l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert est int\u00e9ressant parce qu\u2019il se situe au croisement de trois urgences :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Agriculture : besoin d\u2019engrais azot\u00e9s et d\u2019\u00e9nergie pour pomper l\u2019eau, irriguer et transformer les productions ;<\/li>\n<li>Eau : valoriser les ressources en eau (de surface et souterraines) en s\u2019appuyant sur le solaire pour l\u2019irrigation, tout en \u00e9vitant la surexploitation ;<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9nergie : r\u00e9duire la facture de p\u00e9trole import\u00e9 et s\u00e9curiser l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 en zone rurale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le Dr Bruno Korgo, coordinateur des \u00e9nergies renouvelables et de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert au sein de WASCAL, explique que l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert permet de produire localement :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>des engrais pour dynamiser un secteur agricole vital ;<\/li>\n<li>de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 via des piles \u00e0 combustible ;<\/li>\n<li>des carburants de synth\u00e8se, sans recourir aux ressources fossiles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Des projets pilotes d\u00e9j\u00e0 en cours<\/h2>\n<p>Le pays ne part pas de z\u00e9ro. Plusieurs initiatives structurent d\u00e9j\u00e0 cette vision :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Le projet PV2H (Optimisation du solaire photovolta\u00efque pour la production d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest) teste la faisabilit\u00e9 technique de produire de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne \u00e0 partir de la centrale solaire de Zagtouli et d\u2019autres installations photovolta\u00efques.<\/li>\n<li>Des \u00e9tudes \u00e9valuent le potentiel de production d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne \u00e0 partir de la biomasse, en s\u2019appuyant sur un parc d\u2019environ 17 000 biodigesteurs d\u00e9j\u00e0 install\u00e9s dans le pays.<\/li>\n<li>Un projet de centrale \u00e9lectrique de 1 MW \u00e0 partir de d\u00e9chets est \u00e9tudi\u00e9 \u00e0 Ouagadougou pour coupler gestion des d\u00e9chets et production d\u2019\u00e9nergie propre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Selon le ministre Yacouba Zabr\u00e9 Gouba, ces technologies doivent progressivement \u00ab compl\u00e9ter les solutions d\u00e9j\u00e0 engag\u00e9es dans le solaire \u00bb et aider \u00e0 \u00ab rendre l\u2019\u00e9nergie plus accessible \u00bb.<\/p>\n<h2>Un levier pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire dans le Sahel<\/h2>\n<p>Dans le Sahel, la FAO rappelle que des r\u00e9serves en eau souterraine importantes restent sous-utilis\u00e9es faute de solutions \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques abordables : le solaire et, demain, l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne, peuvent changer la donne pour l\u2019irrigation et la productivit\u00e9 agricole.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019enjeu pour le Burkina est de coupler :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>pompage solaire et hydrog\u00e8ne pour alimenter des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019irrigation modernes ;<\/li>\n<li>engrais produits localement pour am\u00e9liorer les rendements ;<\/li>\n<li>stockage \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique (via l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne) pour lisser l\u2019intermittence du solaire et s\u00e9curiser la transformation agroalimentaire (froid, broyage, stockage).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00c0 terme, l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert pourrait devenir un outil de r\u00e9duction de la pauvret\u00e9 rurale, en renfor\u00e7ant \u00e0 la fois la production agricole, l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9nergie et la r\u00e9silience face au climat.<\/p>\n<h2>Opportunit\u00e9s et d\u00e9fis \u00e0 ma\u00eetriser<\/h2>\n<p>Les opportunit\u00e9s sont r\u00e9elles : financements internationaux (Allemagne, Banque mondiale), transfert de technologies, cr\u00e9ation d\u2019emplois qualifi\u00e9s et positionnement du Burkina sur une fili\u00e8re d\u2019avenir en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest.<\/p>\n<p>Mais plusieurs d\u00e9fis se posent d\u00e9j\u00e0 :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>co\u00fbts encore \u00e9lev\u00e9s des \u00e9lectrolyseurs et des infrastructures hydrog\u00e8ne ;<\/li>\n<li>besoin de cadres r\u00e9glementaires clairs pour l\u2019eau, l\u2019\u00e9nergie et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des installations ;<\/li>\n<li>risques de surextraction des nappes si l\u2019irrigation se d\u00e9veloppe sans gouvernance stricte.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le message des experts est donc double : oui, l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vert peut devenir un pilier du triptyque agriculture\u2013eau\u2013\u00e9nergie au Burkina Faso, mais \u00e0 condition de le d\u00e9ployer progressivement, en gardant la priorit\u00e9 sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 hydrique, la durabilit\u00e9
