L\u2019importance des femmes pour l\u2019\u00e9conomie de Maurice<\/b><\/h2>\n

Le 10 avril 2025, le Ministre d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9 aux Finances, Dhaneshwar Damry, a rencontr\u00e9 des repr\u00e9sentantes d\u2019associations de femmes entrepreneures \u00e0 Port-Louis dans le cadre des consultations pour le budget 2025-2026.<\/b><\/p>\n

Des organisations comme le Conseil national des femmes entrepreneures, Passerelle, SOS Femmes et Chrysalide \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sentes. Lors de cette r\u00e9union, le Ministre \u00e9voque la situation \u00e9conomique actuelle de Maurice, avec une dette nationale d\u2019environ Rs 644 milliards (environ 14 milliards USD), soit pr\u00e8s de 90 % du PIB, et un d\u00e9ficit budg\u00e9taire de 10 %. Dhaneshwar Damry pr\u00e9cise que le prochain budget sera le premier d\u2019un programme quinquennal et qu\u2019il inclura des mesures pour les soutenir.<\/p>\n

Damry a \u00e9galement soulign\u00e9 que bien que les femmes repr\u00e9sentent pr\u00e8s de 51 % de la population, leur participation au march\u00e9 du travail reste limit\u00e9e \u00e0 45 %. L\u2019importance d\u2019augmenter cette participation est mise en avant pour stimuler la croissance \u00e9conomique.<\/p>\n

Le Ministre a \u00e9galement not\u00e9 le manque de donn\u00e9es pr\u00e9cises sur les entreprises dirig\u00e9es par des femmes \u00e0 Maurice.
