Salon de l’Agriculture 2025 : Mayotte valorise ses produits agricoles<\/b><\/h2>\n

Du 22 f\u00e9vrier au 2 mars 2025, Mayotte a particip\u00e9 au Salon International de l’Agriculture \u00e0 Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, un \u00e9v\u00e9nement pour les professionnels agricoles du monde. Malgr\u00e9 les cons\u00e9quences du cyclone Chido, qui a ravag\u00e9 une partie des r\u00e9coltes, l’\u00eele a expos\u00e9 ses produits agricoles, dont la vanille de qualit\u00e9.<\/b><\/p>\n

La production de vanille \u00e0 Mayotte est principalement destin\u00e9e aux march\u00e9s locaux. Un repr\u00e9sentant de la r\u00e9gion souligne : \u00ab Nous cherchons \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9, car cela g\u00e9n\u00e8re plus de valeur ajout\u00e9e. Si nous r\u00e9ussissons \u00e0 atteindre une meilleure qualit\u00e9, nous pourrions \u00e9couler nos produits localement, sans avoir \u00e0 les exporter <\/i>\u00bb . Cette qu\u00eate de qualit\u00e9 est essentielle pour les producteurs.<\/p>\n

Mohamedi Ahmada, un producteur mahorais ayant remport\u00e9 plusieurs m\u00e9dailles d’argent au Concours g\u00e9n\u00e9ral agricole, explique que \u00ab c\u2019est le soleil qui joue un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans la transformation, rendant la vanille plus parfum\u00e9e et efficace<\/i> \u00bb. La production et la transformation se font directement sur l’\u00eele, un processus qui d\u00e9bute d\u00e8s la r\u00e9colte.<\/p>\n

Avant le passage du cyclone Chido, la r\u00e9gion produisait environ 1 tonne de vanille noire chaque ann\u00e9e. Toutefois, la temp\u00eate a affect\u00e9 la culture et il faudra attendre trois ans pour r\u00e9colter de nouvelles gousses. Malgr\u00e9 ce d\u00e9fi, l’\u00eele reste d\u00e9termin\u00e9e \u00e0 relancer sa production.<\/p>\n

Le salon a permis aux acteurs de la fili\u00e8re \u00e0 Mayotte de rencontrer des producteurs internationaux, proposer des d\u00e9gustations et participer \u00e0 des d\u00e9monstrations sur les innovations agricoles. Bien que confront\u00e9e \u00e0 des difficult\u00e9s, la r\u00e9gion continue de promouvoir la qualit\u00e9 de ses produits agricoles, en esp\u00e9rant un avenir plus prosp\u00e8re apr\u00e8s le cyclone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
