KFC Maurice et WeCycle : un partenariat gagnant pour l’environnement<\/b><\/h2>\n

La gestion des d\u00e9chets repr\u00e9sente un d\u00e9fi majeur \u00e0 Maurice, en raison de la saturation du centre d\u2019enfouissement de Mare Chicose.<\/b><\/p>\n

Face \u00e0 cette urgence environnementale, KFC Maurice d\u00e9cide d\u2019agir en mettant en place un programme de recyclage de ses emballages en carton. Depuis ao\u00fbt 2024, l\u2019enseigne de restauration rapide collabore avec WeCycle, une entreprise du groupe Eclosia sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans le recyclage, pour collecter et traiter ses cartons non souill\u00e9s. \u00ab Chaque petit geste compte. Nos emballages en carton, comme les bo\u00eetes que nous recevons de nos fournisseurs, sont collect\u00e9s dans des bennes sp\u00e9ciales avant d\u2019\u00eatre recycl\u00e9s par WeCycle<\/i> \u00bb, explique Annabelle Fanchette, responsable marketing et de la communication chez KFC Maurice.<\/p>\n

L\u2019initiative a d\u2019abord \u00e9t\u00e9 test\u00e9e dans le restaurant de Goodlands avant d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e9tendue aux \u00e9tablissements de Flacq Centre, Vacoas, Curepipe et Rose-Hill. Les r\u00e9sultats sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 visibles : entre septembre et d\u00e9cembre 2024, 2,7 tonnes de cartons ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recycl\u00e9es. Un chiffre encourageant qui pousse l\u2019enseigne \u00e0 \u00e9largir son programme \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble de ses restaurants en 2025.<\/p>\n

Mettre en place un tel syst\u00e8me de recyclage n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 sans difficult\u00e9. Le stockage des bennes, l\u2019organisation des collectes et la sensibilisation du personnel ont n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 des ajustements. \u00ab\u00a0Nos responsables de restaurants ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 en formant leurs \u00e9quipes, notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la Fresque du Climat. Nous assurons \u00e9galement un suivi mensuel pour optimiser le processus<\/i>\u00a0\u00bb pr\u00e9cise Annabelle Fanchette.
