Ces restrictions d&rsquo;usage sont associ\u00e9es \u00e0 une p\u00e9riode de s\u00e9cheresse qui pourrait se prolonger pendant plusieurs semaines encore.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00eele est en proie \u00e0 une s\u00e9cheresse s\u00e9v\u00e8re qui a un impact direct sur ses r\u00e9sidents. Depuis plusieurs semaines, certains secteurs, notamment dans l&rsquo;est et \u00e0 Cilaos, sont priv\u00e9s d&rsquo;eau courante, en fonction des programmes de coupure. Il est possible que cette situation se poursuive dans les prochaines semaines. Les mesures de pluviom\u00e9trie de d\u00e9cembre, r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9es lors du r\u00e9cent comit\u00e9 sur la s\u00e9cheresse, ne t\u00e9moignent pas d&rsquo;un d\u00e9but marqu\u00e9 de la saison des pluies.<\/p>\n<p>Avec une chute de 22 % des retenues d\u2019eau r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 par M\u00e9t\u00e9o France sur toute l&rsquo;\u00eele de la R\u00e9union, cette saison figure au dixi\u00e8me rang des saisons les plus s\u00e8ches enregistr\u00e9es au cours des 53 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. D\u00e9cembre, qui est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement le d\u00e9but de la saison pluvieuse, a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 extr\u00eamement sec sur tout le territoire.<\/p>\n<p>La situation de s\u00e9cheresse est plus prononc\u00e9e sur le versant Est de l&rsquo;\u00eele, o\u00f9 huit rivi\u00e8res, s&rsquo;\u00e9tendant de Sainte-Suzanne \u00e0 Saint-Beno\u00eet, pr\u00e9sentent actuellement un d\u00e9ficit consid\u00e9rable en eau. Concernant les nappes phr\u00e9atiques, l&rsquo;insuffisance de pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement continue de se faire sentir dans les nappes du Port, Bras Panon, Saint-Beno\u00eet et la Plaine des Palmistes.
