Narainduth Boodhoo, directeur de la politique commerciale au minist\u00e8re des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res, de l&rsquo;Int\u00e9gration r\u00e9gionale et du Commerce international, a assist\u00e9 \u00e0 la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d&rsquo;ouverture, ainsi qu&rsquo;Oskar Benedikt, ambassadeur et chef de la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation de l&rsquo;Union europ\u00e9enne (UE) aupr\u00e8s de la R\u00e9publique de Maurice et des Seychelles, ainsi qu&rsquo;autres experts du secteur sucrier et de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;Indication g\u00e9ographique (GI) est une forme de droits de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle. Elle a pour mission de garantir l&rsquo;authenticit\u00e9 et l&rsquo;origine des produits. Cela assure aux consommateurs de pouvoir avoir confiance en leur qualit\u00e9 et leurs caract\u00e9ristiques singuli\u00e8res. Depuis des si\u00e8cles, l&rsquo;industrie de la canne \u00e0 sucre a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le essentiel dans le tissu culturel et \u00e9conomique de Maurice, influen\u00e7ant ainsi l&rsquo;identit\u00e9 et le patrimoine de la nation.<\/p>\n<p>Cette initiative IG met l&rsquo;accent sur la saveur unique et distinctive des sucres non raffin\u00e9s mauriciens, qui sont renomm\u00e9s sur les march\u00e9s internationaux. Avec la popularit\u00e9 croissante des caf\u00e9s \u00e0 travers l\u2019\u00eele et la prise de conscience croissante de l&rsquo;importance de choisir des options plus saines, les consommateurs cherchent une plus grande diversit\u00e9 de sucres \u00e0 consommer.<\/p>\n<p>Narainduth Boodhoo a pris l&rsquo;occasion de remercier l&rsquo;Union europ\u00e9enne pour son engagement dans l&rsquo;enregistrement des IG. Il mentionne \u00e9galement que l&rsquo;Union europ\u00e9enne demeure l&rsquo;un des principaux march\u00e9s pour les produits manufactur\u00e9s \u00e0 Maurice. Il est important de rappeler que cette r\u00e9union de travail est organis\u00e9e par le minist\u00e8re des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res, de l&rsquo;Int\u00e9gration r\u00e9gionale et du Commerce international.
