Intensifier les actions de lutte contre cette maladie dans l\u2019oc\u00e9an indien<\/h2>\n

Depuis une d\u00e9cennie, Mayotte est en phase de lutte contre le paludisme. Cependant, on observe une augmentation graduelle du nombre de cas import\u00e9s sur l’\u00eele depuis 3 ans, avec un pic enregistr\u00e9 en janvier 2024.<\/b><\/p>\n

Au cours de la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 de cette ann\u00e9e, 65 cas ont \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9s, dont 64 import\u00e9s et 1 avec un statut inconnu. Il convient de souligner qu’il n’y a pas eu de cas de paludisme autochtone sur l’archipel depuis juillet 2020. Les cas import\u00e9s sont presque tous d’esp\u00e8ce Plasmodium falciparum. En d\u00e9tail, 30 % d’entre eux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 hospitalis\u00e9s, dont 4 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 admis en r\u00e9animation.<\/p>\n

Quelques recommandations sont faites par le minist\u00e8re de la sant\u00e9 pour pr\u00e9venir les risques. Il est donc conseill\u00e9 de se pr\u00e9munir contre les piq\u00fbres de moustiques. D\u00e8s la tomb\u00e9e de la nuit, il est n\u00e9cessaire d’utiliser des produits r\u00e9pulsifs, des moustiquaires impr\u00e9gn\u00e9es et de porter des v\u00eatements couvrants. Avant de partir en voyage, il est n\u00e9cessaire d’\u00e9valuer l’efficacit\u00e9 d’une chimioprophylaxie antipalud\u00e9enne. Il est toujours essentiel de faire un diagnostic de paludisme et de r\u00e9aliser un test de confirmation biologique en cas de sympt\u00f4mes \u00e9vocateurs apr\u00e8s un voyage en zone impalud\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Selon l’OMS, en comparaison avec Madagascar, le taux de d\u00e9c\u00e8s caus\u00e9 par le paludisme a augment\u00e9 de 55 % au cours des dix derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Cette tendance suscite une grande inqui\u00e9tude, en particulier en comparaison avec la tendance \u00e0 la baisse \u00e0 l’\u00e9chelle mondiale. Ces donn\u00e9es mettent en \u00e9vidence l’importance d’intensifier les actions de lutte contre cette maladie dans l\u2019oc\u00e9an indien.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
