Soutenir la r\u00e9ponse des pays africains<\/h2>\n

Le pr\u00e9sident des Seychelles, Wavel Ramkalawan, en sa qualit\u00e9 de pr\u00e9sident de la Commission climatique des \u00c9tats insulaires d’Afrique, lance un appel urgent \u00e0 tous les partenaires et parties prenantes pour qu’ils unissent leurs forces pour soutenir la r\u00e9ponse des nations africaines au changement climatique.<\/b><\/p>\n

Ramkalawan a fait cette lors d’un sommet des affaires lors du sommet Cor\u00e9e-Afrique 2024 \u00e0 S\u00e9oul, en Cor\u00e9e du Sud. En adoptant la transition vers une \u00e9nergie sans carbone, les nations africaines peuvent d\u00e9passer l’\u00e8re des combustibles fossiles et construire un avenir plus durable et plus prosp\u00e8re. La COP28 a appel\u00e9 \u00e0 tripler la capacit\u00e9 d’\u00e9nergie renouvelable \u00e0 l’\u00e9chelle mondiale et \u00e0 doubler le taux annuel moyen mondial d’am\u00e9lioration de l’efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique d’ici 2030. Gr\u00e2ce aux progr\u00e8s rapides de la technologie, le co\u00fbt des \u00e9nergies renouvelables a chut\u00e9 ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es tandis que les technologies de stockage de l’\u00e9nergie s’am\u00e9liorent rapidement.<\/p>\n

Ainsi, la transition vers ces technologies \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques sans carbone est r\u00e9alisable. En tant que chef d’un petit \u00c9tat insulaire en d\u00e9veloppement (PEID), Ramkalawan partage le point de vue selon lequel les Seychelles sont non seulement affect\u00e9es par le changement climatique, mais aussi par la menace existentielle qu’il repr\u00e9sente pour sa survie.<\/p>\n
