Leur collaboration s&rsquo;\u00e9tend ainsi sur une troisi\u00e8me d\u00e9cennie.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>La Ministre des Affaires communautaires des Seychelles, Rose-Marie Hoareau et Lydia Charlie, la maire par int\u00e9rim de Victoria, ont sign\u00e9 l&rsquo;accord. Pour la partie mauricienne, l\u2019accord a \u00e9t\u00e9 paraphr\u00e9 par Veenabye Jeewajee, pr\u00e9sident du conseil du district de Rivi\u00e8re Noire.<\/p>\n<p>La premi\u00e8re signature d\u2019accord de jumelage entre Anse Boileau et Rivi\u00e8re Noire a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en f\u00e9vrier 2004. Cette initiative permet de cr\u00e9er des liens au profit des populations des deux r\u00e9gions. Par ailleurs, il sert aussi \u00e0 promouvoir les activit\u00e9s \u00e9ducatives, culturelles, sportives et les \u00e9changes commerciaux.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s la signature de l&rsquo;accord, Jeewajee a exprim\u00e9 son honneur de signer cet accord ainsi que sa volont\u00e9 de continuer cette relation avec le district d&rsquo;Anse Boileau. Charlie, quant \u00e0 lui, affirme : \u00ab<i> \u00c0 chaque fois que la signature d&rsquo;un MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) entre des villes et des districts a lieu, je suis conscient que je participe \u00e0 une initiative visant \u00e0 \u00e9tablir des ponts et \u00e0 \u00e9liminer les obstacles entre les pays<\/i> \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Plusieurs accords de ce genre ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9s entre les districts des Seychelles et ceux de Maurice. Le conseil municipal de Beau Bassin\/Rose Hill est en accord de jumelage avec le district de Mont Buxton et le conseil municipal de Vacoas\/Phoenix avec le district de Plaisance.
