L\u2019indicateur politique en baisse au niveau mondial<\/h2>\n

Selon Reporters sans fronti\u00e8res, une organisation non gouvernementale bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Paris, le classement mondial de la libert\u00e9 de la presse des Seychelles a connu une baisse de trois places, passant de la 34e place en 2023 \u00e0 la 37e place en 2024.<\/b><\/p>\n

Chaque ann\u00e9e, le classement est rendu public \u00e0 l’occasion de la Journ\u00e9e mondiale de la libert\u00e9 de la presse, le 3 mai, qui marque les principes fondamentaux de la libert\u00e9 de la presse \u00e0 travers le monde. Cinq crit\u00e8res de classement sont retenus : politique, \u00e9conomique, l\u00e9gislatif, social et s\u00e9curitaire<\/b>. Au niveau mondial, c\u2019est l’indicateur politique le plus en baisse, avec une diminution moyenne mondiale de 7,6 points.<\/p>\n

En 2022, le pays insulaire se situait \u00e0 la 13e place sur 180 pays et \u00e9tait le meilleur classement d’Afrique subsaharienne. Un classement qu’il a perdu l’ann\u00e9e en perdant 21 places dans l’indice. Selon Rassin Vannier, pr\u00e9sident de l’Association des praticiens des m\u00e9dias des Seychelles (AMPS), l’AMPS pr\u00e9voit de tenir des r\u00e9unions consultatives avec les autorit\u00e9s afin de mettre fin \u00e0 un nouveau d\u00e9clin.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l’occasion du s\u00e9minaire qui s’est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 le 3 mai 2024, Vannier a affirm\u00e9 : \u00ab Alors que les \u00e9lections approchent l’ann\u00e9e prochaine et que nous avons rencontr\u00e9 quelques difficult\u00e9s en travaillant avec la Commission lors des \u00e9lections de 2020, nous avons estim\u00e9 qu’ il serait avantageux pour les deux parties d’avoir un dialogue<\/i> \u00bb. Parmi les m\u00e9dias pr\u00e9sents se trouvent les repr\u00e9sentants de la Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC), de TeleSesel, de Seychelles Nation, de Today in Seychelles et de The People.<\/p>\n

Le r\u00f4le et le mandat de la Commission \u00e9lectorale des Seychelles (ECS) ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par la directrice des \u00e9lections et son \u00e9quipe.
