La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 nationale de t\u00e9l\u00e9communications Mauritius Telecom (MT) \u00e9tudie les possibilit\u00e9s d’\u00e9tendre ses activit\u00e9s sur le continent.<\/b><\/p>\n

L\u2019entreprise mauricienne \u00e9value certaines acquisitions potentielles d’activit\u00e9s dans le cadre de son initiative strat\u00e9gique de diversification en dehors du march\u00e9 mauricien. MT \u00e9tudie les possibilit\u00e9s aux Seychelles, \u00e0 Madagascar, en R\u00e9publique du Congo et au Ghana. Bien qu’une expansion de ses activit\u00e9s via un op\u00e9rateur mobile existant soit attendue, l’entreprise ne se limitera pas aux communications mobiles.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous avons les ressources et la capacit\u00e9 d\u2019investir. Nous b\u00e9n\u00e9ficions du soutien de banques reconnues, fond\u00e9es sur notre bonne implantation financi\u00e8re. C’est pourquoi nous recherchons de nouveaux march\u00e9s et des niches particuli\u00e8res o\u00f9 nous sommes confiants de reproduire ce que nous avons accompli jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 Maurice<\/i> \u00bb, souligne le PDG de MT.<\/p>\n

Actuellement, MT a investi 55 millions USD<\/b> (environ 2,5 milliards Rs) dans un nouveau r\u00e9seau de c\u00e2bles sous-marins \u00e0 fibre optique reliant Maurice et la c\u00f4te ouest de l’Afrique du Sud. La prochaine \u00e9tape sera l’extension \u00e0 l’Inde et \u00e0 Singapour pour un co\u00fbt estim\u00e9 \u00e0 120 millions USD<\/b> (environ 5,5 milliards Rs), a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 Kapil Reesaul.
