Le Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique des Seychelles, le Dr Patrick Herminie, a re\u00e7u au State House la professeure Olive Mugenda, Pr\u00e9sidente du panel des personnalit\u00e9s \u00e9minentes de l\u2019APRM, lors d\u2019une visite de courtoisie. La d\u00e9l\u00e9gation se trouve dans le pays pour analyser le fonctionnement du syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif national.<\/p>\n<p>Cette mission fait suite \u00e0 une demande du gouvernement seychellois, transmise par le Ministre de l\u2019\u00c9ducation et du D\u00e9veloppement des ressources humaines, David Pierre, aupr\u00e8s du Secr\u00e9tariat continental de l\u2019APRM bas\u00e9 en Afrique du Sud. L\u2019objectif consiste \u00e0 \u00e9valuer les r\u00e9sultats du syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif, rep\u00e9rer les points faibles et proposer des pistes d\u2019am\u00e9lioration.<\/p>\n<p>Lors de la rencontre, le Chef de l\u2019Etat a souhait\u00e9 la bienvenue \u00e0 la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation et a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 la volont\u00e9 du gouvernement de renforcer le secteur de l\u2019\u00e9ducation. Ce dernier a aussi insist\u00e9 sur l\u2019importance des \u00e9valuations bas\u00e9es sur des donn\u00e9es fiables pour guider les d\u00e9cisions publiques.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9valuation, lanc\u00e9e cette semaine, repose sur plusieurs \u00e9changes avec les acteurs du secteur. La d\u00e9l\u00e9gation rencontre des responsables gouvernementaux, des enseignants, des professionnels de l\u2019\u00e9ducation et des repr\u00e9sentants de la communaut\u00e9. Ces discussions permettent de mieux comprendre les progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s et les d\u00e9fis rencontr\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Les premi\u00e8res observations montrent que les Seychelles enregistrent un taux \u00e9lev\u00e9 d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ducation, avec environ 98 % d\u2019inscription scolaire. Ce chiffre place le pays parmi les meilleurs en Afrique dans ce domaine. Cependant, des difficult\u00e9s apparaissent au niveau des transitions entre le secondaire, les \u00e9tudes A-Level et l\u2019universit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Les experts de l\u2019APRM, avec l\u2019appui de sp\u00e9cialistes locaux et internationaux, analyseront toutes les informations recueillies.
