Vers une meilleure protection des cha\u00eenes alimentaires<\/b><\/h2>\n

47 pays en d\u00e9veloppement se sont r\u00e9unis virtuellement le 9 mars au sein du G33, une coalition de l\u2019Organisation mondiale du commerce (OMC), pour discuter de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire et du commerce agricole.<\/b><\/p>\n

La r\u00e9union, organis\u00e9e par l\u2019Indon\u00e9sie, a rassembl\u00e9 plusieurs Ministres, dont Ritish Ramful, ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res, de l\u2019int\u00e9gration r\u00e9gionale et du commerce international de Maurice. Lors de cette rencontre, ce dernier a insist\u00e9 sur l\u2019importance de garantir un approvisionnement alimentaire stable pour la population dans un contexte international incertain. \u00ab\u202fLa priorit\u00e9 absolue de Maurice est de garantir un approvisionnement continu \u00e0 sa population dans un environnement mondial fragilis\u00e9\u202f<\/i>\u00bb, a-t-il affirm\u00e9. Maurice, comme plusieurs membres du G33, fait partie des Pays en d\u00e9veloppement importateurs nets de produits alimentaires (PDINPA) et reste particuli\u00e8rement vuln\u00e9rable aux fluctuations des march\u00e9s internationaux.<\/p>\n

Ritish Ramful a mis en garde contre les restrictions \u00e0 l\u2019exportation adopt\u00e9es par certains pays en p\u00e9riode de crise. Selon lui, ces mesures peuvent provoquer la panique sur les march\u00e9s, faire augmenter les prix et fragiliser des cha\u00eenes d\u2019approvisionnement d\u00e9j\u00e0 tendues. Ce cadre a appel\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9tablir des r\u00e8gles claires et applicables pour encadrer ces pratiques et \u00e9viter des d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibres dans le commerce alimentaire mondial.<\/p>\n

Les discussions ont \u00e9galement port\u00e9 sur les subventions agricoles, le m\u00e9canisme de sauvegarde sp\u00e9ciale et les liens entre commerce international et s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire. Le Ministre mauricien a rappel\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de corriger les d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibres dans le commerce agricole mondial et de permettre aux pays en d\u00e9veloppement de soutenir leur production locale.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
