{"id":105216,"date":"2026-02-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.capmad.com\/news\/%news-category%\/laccord-de-peche-entre-les-seychelles-et-lue-bientot-renouvele\/"},"modified":"2026-02-18T18:01:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T15:01:09","slug":"laccord-de-peche-entre-les-seychelles-et-lue-bientot-renouvele","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.capmad.com\/fr\/news\/economie-bleue-fr\/laccord-de-peche-entre-les-seychelles-et-lue-bientot-renouvele\/","title":{"rendered":"L\u2019accord de p\u00eache entre les Seychelles et l\u2019UE bient\u00f4t renouvel\u00e9"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Un cinqui\u00e8me cycle de n\u00e9gociations pr\u00e9vu<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Depuis juin 2025, quatre cycles de n\u00e9gociations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9s entre les Seychelles et l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne (UE) pour renouveler leur accord de partenariat sur la p\u00eache durable, sign\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 1987.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Un cinqui\u00e8me cycle est pr\u00e9vu pour la premi\u00e8re semaine de mars, alors que l\u2019accord actuel expire dans six jours.<\/p>\n<p>Dans ce contexte, le Pr\u00e9sident des Seychelles, Dr. Patrick Herminie, a rencontr\u00e9 ce 17 F\u00e9vrier une d\u00e9l\u00e9gation du Comit\u00e9 des p\u00eaches du Parlement europ\u00e9en.<\/p>\n<p>Selon le communiqu\u00e9 officiel, l\u2019objectif est de renforcer les relations entre les deux parties et r\u00e9affirmer l\u2019importance d\u2019une coop\u00e9ration durable dans le domaine de la p\u00eache.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9l\u00e9gation, compos\u00e9e de cinq parlementaires, a salu\u00e9 le r\u00f4le essentiel des Seychelles dans la p\u00eache au thon, un secteur cl\u00e9 pour l\u2019UE.<\/p>\n<p>Selon Emma Wiesner, repr\u00e9sentante de la vice-pr\u00e9sidente du Comit\u00e9, l\u2019archipel reste \u00ab un partenaire mondial majeur \u00bb pour l\u2019Europe. Cette derni\u00e8re a toutefois reconnu que certains facteurs externes compliquent les discussions, les deux parties cherchant un accord \u00e9quilibr\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Par ailleurs, les \u00e9changes ont\u00a0 port\u00e9 sur des sujets plus larges comme la transparence, la coop\u00e9ration g\u00e9opolitique et la protection de l\u2019environnement. Les deux parties ont insist\u00e9 sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019un accord qui tienne compte des d\u00e9fis du changement climatique et des int\u00e9r\u00eats mutuels.<\/p>\n<p>Le Chef de l\u2019Etat a rappel\u00e9 que la p\u00eache est un pilier de l\u2019\u00e9conomie seychelloise, soutenant de nombreux emplois et contribuant fortement aux revenus du pays. Ce dernier a soulign\u00e9 que les petits \u00c9tats insulaires comme les Seychelles doivent \u00eatre entendus dans les discussions financi\u00e8res, afin d\u2019obtenir un accord plus juste et adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 leurs r\u00e9alit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>En attendant la conclusion du nouvel accord, les navires europ\u00e9ens ne peuvent pas p\u00eacher dans les eaux seychelloises, mais ils sont
