Les dirigeants africains alertent sur la crise de l\u2019eau<\/b><\/h2>\n

400 millions d\u2019Africains n\u2019ont toujours pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une source d\u2019eau potable s\u00fbre, et plus de 700 millions vivent sans services d\u2019assainissement ad\u00e9quats. C\u2019est le constat alarmant pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 lors du 39\u1d49 sommet de l\u2019Union africaine (UA), qui s\u2019est achev\u00e9 ce 15 f\u00e9vrier \u00e0 Addis-Abeba.<\/b><\/p>\n

Le th\u00e8me de cette session, \u00ab Garantir une disponibilit\u00e9 durable de l\u2019eau et des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019assainissement s\u00fbrs pour atteindre les objectifs de l\u2019Agenda 2063 \u00bb, a \u00e9t\u00e9 au c\u0153ur des d\u00e9bats des chefs d\u2019\u00c9tat et de gouvernement.<\/p>\n

Le Pr\u00e9sident du Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye, a rappel\u00e9 que les premi\u00e8res victimes de cette situation sont les enfants, les femmes et les populations rurales. Ce dernier a insist\u00e9 sur l\u2019urgence d\u2019agir pour garantir \u00e0 tous le droit \u00e0 l\u2019eau et \u00e0 l\u2019assainissement, essentiels \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 et au d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n

Par ailleurs, le Pr\u00e9sident des Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie, a soulign\u00e9 la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re des petits \u00c9tats insulaires face au changement climatique et \u00e0 la mont\u00e9e du niveau de la mer. Le Chef de l\u2019Etat a demand\u00e9 que l\u2019indice de vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 multidimensionnel (IVM) soit adopt\u00e9 par les institutions financi\u00e8res internationales afin d\u2019aider les pays les plus expos\u00e9s. De plus, ce responsable a d\u00e9fendu l\u2019\u00e9conomie bleue, qui permet de cr\u00e9er des emplois et de la croissance tout en prot\u00e9geant les ressources marines.<\/p>\n

De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, le Pr\u00e9sident des Comores, Azali Assoumani, a rappel\u00e9 l\u2019importance de la paix et de la stabilit\u00e9 pour le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019Afrique. Ce dernier a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 la question de Mayotte, la solidarit\u00e9 de son pays envers la Somalie et la Palestine, et a annonc\u00e9 la comm\u00e9moration des 25 ans de l\u2019Accord-cadre de Fomboni, symbole de r\u00e9conciliation nationale avec le soutien de l\u2019UA.<\/p>\n

En marge du sommet, le Pr\u00e9sident comorien a rencontr\u00e9 Nardos Bekele-Thomas, Directrice G\u00e9n\u00e9rale du NEPAD, pour discuter de projets concrets : am\u00e9lioration de l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019eau potable et \u00e0 l\u2019assainissement, d\u00e9veloppement des \u00e9nergies renouvelables, renforcement des infrastructures, et cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un corridor maritime pour faciliter la circulation entre les \u00eeles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
